When two forces acting on an object are equal in size but opposite in direction, they are called balanced forces, and the object does not change its state of motion.
A trolley is pushed harder from the left side than from the right side. What will happen to the trolley?

Since the forces are unbalanced, with a greater push from the left, the trolley will move towards the right, in the direction of the larger force.
