No email or contact details are collected for children; only the parent account has an email on file.

Badges are cosmetic achievements — first practice session, a perfect round, streak milestones, mastering a chapter, or trying every chapter in a subject. They don't affect gameplay, just give your child something to collect and show off on their badges page.

Olibits is a learning platform for primary school kids (P1-P6) covering Math, Science, English, and Chinese. Parents create an account, add a child profile, and the child practices through short, game-like sessions — earning XP, streaks, and badges along the way.

Yes. Every topic and question is tagged to a specific grade band, and a child only ever sees content matching their own grade — a P1 child and a P6 child see completely different topics in the same subject. Grade level is set once when you add the profile, and you can change it later from the child's edit-profile page if needed.

That's the placement quiz — a handful of questions per subject that calibrate the starting difficulty within your child's grade level. It does not change their grade level (that stays whatever you set it to) — it just means the very first questions they see are neither too easy nor too hard.

Each topic tracks a mastery score for your child that rises with correct answers and dips a little with wrong ones (a single mistake doesn't undo a topic they've otherwise mastered). Questions served in future sessions lean toward that mastery level, so practice stays challenging without being frustrating.

Yes, and we'd rather be specific than just say "MOE-aligned": Math follows the Mathematics Syllabus Primary One to Six (2021 syllabus — P1-P5 currently, P6 moves onto it from the 2026 cohort). Science follows the Science Teaching & Learning Syllabus Primary Three to Six (2023 syllabus) — Science genuinely isn't a taught subject at P1/P2 under MOE's own syllabus, so our P1/P2 Science content is offered as enrichment that goes beyond the official syllabus, not as a claim of syllabus coverage at those grades. English follows the English Language Syllabus Primary (2020 syllabus). Chinese follows the Chinese Language Syllabus Primary (2024 syllabus — P1-P3 currently, P4-P6 on the preceding 2015 syllabus until they roll forward). We're still working through re-tagging every topic to its exact official strand/theme, so treat this as an ongoing, honest alignment effort rather than a finished claim.

Each subject has its own leaderboard, ranked by XP, scoped to your child's grade level — so they're only ever compared with other kids at the same grade. You can view this week's leaderboard or the all-time one.

A Group is a class, school, or any other cohort — your child's school or class organizer can set one up and share a join code. Enter that code from your child's profile ('Join a group' on the parent dashboard) to unlock a leaderboard scoped to just that group, alongside the regular grade-wide one. Groups are optional — nothing changes if you don't join one.

Yes — challenges work by sharing a one-time code between any two children, regardless of group. Groups only affect the leaderboard view, not who your child can challenge.

An async 1-vs-1: your child picks a topic, gets a shareable code, and whoever enters that code (a sibling, a friend, a classmate) answers the exact same set of questions. Once both sides finish, the summary shows who scored higher.

Correct answers earn XP, with bonus XP for finishing a full session and for speed-round performance. XP adds up to a level shown on your child's home screen. Answers in topics your child has already mastered earn reduced XP, so replaying an easy, already-mastered topic isn't a shortcut to a high score.

Practice pauses on that question, shows which answer was correct, and — where available — a short explanation of why. Getting a question right auto-advances to the next one after a moment, so a correct streak doesn't need a tap after every question.

Yes, anytime — practice sessions can be repeated as often as your child likes. XP earned scales down on topics already at high mastery (see 'How does XP work?'), so replaying is great for reinforcement but doesn't inflate their score.

A timed practice mode — answer as many questions correctly as possible before the clock runs out. It draws from the same question pool as regular practice, minus longer reading-comprehension passages, which wouldn't be fair under a tight timer.

Practicing on consecutive days builds a streak, shown on your child's home screen. Missing a single day can be covered automatically by a streak freeze (earned periodically for consistent practice), so one busy day doesn't wipe out a longer streak.
